Find out how archaeologists use special technology to see below the waves. In this illustrative talk government maritime archaeologist, Rory McNeary, will describe the basic tools of underwater archaeological research, and the dangers of looting and destruction.
Rory McNeary is a Senior Inspector of Historic Monuments with the Historic Environment Division (HED), Department for Communities (DFC). He works on strategic secondment with DAERA’s Marine and Fisheries Division and leads on marine heritage policy matters for HED.
